Green, blue, purple and rusty kitties are boarding the boat with us for Ludington and Plymouth, Michigan! Hoping for smooth sailing and no whoop-de-doos on the big lake.

Excelsior, Minnesota

We'll be at our second consecutive show in the Twin Cities area this weekend (we love Minnesota, by the way). We'll have a double booth on the shores of Lake Minnetonka at Art on the Lake in Excelsior for the first time. Looking forward to it! Hope it doesn't rain! We'll have lots of great stuff for 'ya in booth #105.

Summer. It's right around the corner. I hope. Anyway, we're ready for it in case it decides to show up!

Artsapalooza

It looks like the weather for this weekend will be fabulous for Artsapalooza! We're enjoying the warm weather and the dogwood blossoms. Setting up the show tonight, and we'll be open tomorrow morning for the show in booth #78. http://www.sandyspringsartsapalooza.com for info.

Oh, my! Spring looks like it's finally on it's way! Our show schedule for 2014 is getting full. There'll be several new events (Georgia, Maryland, Michigan) and lots of our old favorites. Woot!

Des Moines, Iowa

We're packing up and leaving a day early to get to Des Moines for our show at the State Fairgrounds this weekend. Hopefully we'll beat the latest in a seemingly endless number of blizzards. There's lots of new stuff in the trailer, hope we see lots of our Iowa friends!

Open Studio Hours Today!!

We're open at the shop today (January 24) from 10 to 3 and tomorrow (Jan 25) from 11 to 3. Lots of sweet stuff here for Valentine's Day! 

Good News

After several years' absence I'm excited to let you know that we'll be returning to two shows in the Southeast in March! We'll be at the Craftsmen's Spring Classic shows in Columbia, South Carolina (March 7-9) and in Richmond, Virginia (March 14-16). These are two shows that we did for 15 years or so, and we're hoping to see lots of our customers and crafter friends again!

It's going to be cold for the Cash 'n Carry Wholesale Market in Madison on Monday but the booth will be bright and cheery! Some of the new stuff is in very limited supply, so don't tarry. 

The Very Merry Holiday Fair

This is the sweetest show to end a long season! Just to celebrate and spread a little holiday cheer I'll be doing a giveaway in Baraboo at the Very Merry. Marquette

These two beauties will be headed to the Upper Peninsula this weekend for our show in Marquette. We'll be fully stocked on signs, Christmas stakes and ornaments, as well as our garden whimsies. It's a really nice show with some very talented artisans that I only see when I get this far North (I always get some of my Christmas shopping done there). It's an added bonus to be on the shores of Lake Superior. Beautiful part of the world!

We'll have a big yellow mirror, a nice barn wood mirror, a smaller blackboard, and lots of Christmas signs, stakes and ornaments in the trailer when we head to Shakopee, Minnesota this week. (And of course we always have our birdhouses and yard art, too). Expect some sparkle!

Yes, we will have some holiday whimsy for our last shows of the year. I made these sparkly corrugated stars with banners in two sizes. They'll be packed in the trailer for Shakopee. Booth A1 & 2 in the big white tent, like usual!

Of course we have a new cat this year. It would make a lovely, scary door decoration.

Fall Season

Hello friends! We've been buried in the shop all month getting ready for the fall season. I'm going to post a few photos this week of some of our new things (we haven't been slacking!). 

Autumn Shows

Well, I know it has been a looooong time since I posted on my blog, but since the end of May I've done all of my wonderful summer shows plus squeezed in a move to a new home. Whew! Today I updated my show list, which was missing lots of info. I hope we get to see you at one of these events! We're scrambling in the shop to regroup and build great stuff for 'ya. 

Over the Top

Here's a piece that I painted today for my friend in Dubuque...it's part of a raised panel door. Sue asked me to do this "over the top" so I obliged. I think I'm going to add a little blue swallow in the upper right-hand corner, and after it's varnished it will be finished.  

Studio Hours This Week

We've decided against the long drive to Dunwoody, Georgia this weekend because of the rain that is predicted there. Sad. HOWEVER this means that the studio will be open for our peeps who live close to Kiel!

Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm

Saturday from 10am til 4pm

Funky Junk

My friend Sue Coates gave me this funny little watering can to decorate for her. I puzzled over it, but love how it turned out. It sits in front of my first yellow mirror. The mood is summery Up North!
